Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Showers and thunderstorms are becoming more organized in
association with low pressure located about 150 nm south of 
Acapulco, Mexico. Although it is unclear whether the system has 
a well-defined circulation, further development is anticipated, 
and a tropical depression or tropical storm will likely form 
tonight or on Sunday. The system is forecast to move west-
northwestward at around 10 to 15 kt tonight, then continue in 
that general direction through early next week possibly reaching
near Socorro Island by late Tue. Strong to gale-force winds and 
rough to very rough seas are forecast for the offshore waters of 
southern Mexico between Puerto Angel and Cabo Corrientes Sat 
through early Mon. A second low pressure system currently near 
Clipperton Island may merge with the other low near Socorro 
Island late Tue, then the merged systems weaken. Looking ahead, 
an area of low pressure is forecast to develop late next week 
south of southern Mexico. Environmental conditions appear 
conducive for some gradual development of this system as it moves
west- northwestward.
